At African Diaspora UK (ADUK), we recognize agriculture as the backbone of Africa’s economy and a key driver of food security, employment, and sustainable development. Our Agriculture in Africa Development Project is designed to support farmers, young entrepreneurs, and rural communities by promoting modern, sustainable, and inclusive agricultural practices across the continent.

This project seeks to transform agriculture into a tool for economic empowerment, poverty reduction, and long-term resilience.

Agriculture employs over 60% of Africa’s population, yet many farmers continue to face challenges such as limited access to finance, modern tools, training, and markets. Climate change, outdated farming methods, and lack of infrastructure further threaten food security.

Through this initiative, African Diaspora UK aims to:

The Agriculture in Africa project focuses on the following core objectives:

Our agricultural support program includes:

🌾 Sustainable Crop Production

Training farmers in improved farming techniques, soil management, irrigation, and organic practices to increase yields while protecting the environment.

Supporting small livestock projects to boost household income and nutrition.

🌱 Agribusiness & Value Addition

Helping farmers move beyond subsistence farming by developing processing, packaging, and market access opportunities.

👩🏾‍🌾 Youth & Women in Agriculture

Encouraging young people and women to view agriculture as a profitable and dignified career through skills training and mentorship.
